Another icon designed, this time for the black color Macbook. Like the Macbook, this was also designed in 1024 x 1024 and then resized down to 512 for Leopard, and then all regular sizes down. The cool thing is that if an operating system in the future is released which supports full 1024 x 1024 icon size limit...the time it will take to convert these icons to make them ready at that size is next to nothing, since it just requires a re-saving...in other words, rest assured that these icon models are future proof .
Once again, icon designed from scratch inside Photoshop CS3, and then lighting effects for preview done inside Lightroom 2.0.

There is also a customizable version provided (in PSD format), so you can change/add the wallpaper or desktop screenshot of your choice to the scree. I also created, for ease of use, the exact area where the desktop screenshot should go as a layer mask, so to activate it do these steps:
Place your desktop screenshot or a wallpaper, and if it doesn't fit properly, go to menubar (OS X), or File (Windows) > Select > Load Selection. From the drop down menu, select "Screen Cut", and hit ok, and this will make an automatic selection around the area where the desktop goes. Then just hit delete on the keyboard, and it will delete the excess area on the desktop.
When used correctly, definitely! . I'm still amazed at how every time I look at the bottom half of the bezel of the Cinema Display HD icon...I think its curved, when I actually know that I designed it perfectly rectangular...it's the gradients that plays tricks on the eyes making it look curved at the bottom. They have some amazing potential when used correctly. Especially when it comes to metallic effects.
Haha yeah, I realize that some of my really old icons...they are nearly impossible to make them ready for 512, unless I do a complete redesign...and releases like Aqua X would take forever to do again in 512 . (I might be a little lazy too) haha.
Haha wonderful work
